Hi, I'm usually very shy and rarely ever post on anything but I could really use a friend right now to get thru this.

I did a cleanse last year around this time for 30 days & did very well. Lost about 22lbs & just fell right thru the cracks once I stopped. I've been trying for the last 6 months to start another cleanse unsuccessfully. The thing is I love food but rarely enjoy eating it so basically, I literally spend all my days wondering what to eat & because I can't make up my mind or have a taste for nothing, I have a little of everything & still cannot enjoy it... I'm hoping to train myself to just pick one thing & stick to it. Last time I did the cleanse it was just so refreshing & calming because I didn't have to worry about what to eat everyday & it just gave me such a sense of empowerment.

Anyways, like everyone else, I'm looking for friends to go thru this adventure. I want to do 40 days & excercise everyday as well. I usually like to do either pilates or work out on my treadmill.
If anyone is interested, let me know! I'm starting tomorrow so I'll report back tomorrow night!

Thank you!

Yay another second time cleanser!

I'll be your buddy! I too am going to do a 40 day and I also will be working out. (I bike to and from work 7 miles, and on top of it work out 2x a day if I can heh) Send me a message on here, maybe we can help each other.

Hi all. I am on Day 7 of my 10 day goal. This is my 2nd cleanse. The first one I did 3 years ago & stopped on day 7. I'm not gonna quit this time...get in the right mindset & you can overcome all of your friends drinking & eating in front of you ... it's only as difficult as you let it be.

I feel freekin' fantastic. I haven't cheated at all. no gum, absolutely nothing in my mouth, no mints, anything...except the SWF in the morning, the LA, then my tea at night. I use kleri tea (from the colonix program-it is a natural laxative tea). I have more energy than I know what to do with. I was freekin' scrubbing my kitchen walls with pine sol i think day 3 or 4! lol ... and miss priss here just doesn't do that stuff! lol. You owe it to your body to give it a thorough loving ;-) we can do it!!!

day 7 of no food...and i'm a midwest girl...i looooooooooove food! but ya know what? i love my body even more! it's been so good to me, this is my thankyou to my lovely, beautiful, miraculous healthy body ;-)

YOU CAN DO IT! xoxo MOJO

Thank you for the replies! I was afraid I might not get any reponses, so good I was able to find some friends!

Annie - I read your post & how motivating, I really wished I could go down to 103lbs as well. I'm only 5'1 so for me it would also be a very good weight.

Trumojo - You will definitely make it to day 10, you only have so few to go!

It's only noon by me so I have still a bit to go to officially call it day 1 but now that I have some buddys to go it with , I bet it'll be a piece of cake!

I did the SWF this morning & unfortunately for me, was still half asleep as I was mixing it so the top 3/4 were fine & the bottom 1/4 was so salty that I could not get it in. I ended up throwing it away but what I had in still did the work so YES!

I also mixed my drink for the day. I like to do it every moring to ensure the freshness.

On the down side, I feel queasy and a bit headachy... Not sure why as there could be so many possibilities. One of them being that I just go over an ear infection just 2 days ago so I really hope I'll be feeling better tomorrow. I don't particularly enjoy being sick... And it would completely interfer w/my plans of getting thru this 2nd cleanse...

Anyways, ttu later!

The SWF is always soooo terrible. IF you have issues with it, I totally suggest mixing the two teaspoons in a shot glass holding your nose, taking the shot and then immediately after chugging a liter of water. When I cleansed before I almost always vomited up the SWF, but I tried it this way and it worked, so I'm hopeful :D

I hope you feel well enough to follow through with it! Don't give up... when in doubt drink more lemonade! hehe.

Thanks Anie.

I'm feeling a bit better. It's probably just the shock of not really feeding my body that's making me so weak. I did manage to put in 40mns of slow treadmill and thought I'd die at the end, lol! But I'm still here & have not given up yet. I also drank all my lemonade & it did make me feel better.

How are you doing & how many days ahead of me are you? You said you wanted to become a vegan afterwards, have you looked at recipes or lifestyles to follow? I tried that 3 months ago & it did not work. I ran out of ideas on what to eat & just got jaded with the same taste. As you can tell, I'm not really a cook although I enjoy it when I have time for it but I'm either too tired, busy or lazy... *sad*...

Ok, day 1 is successfully over, thanks again for helping me thru this, it really does help to know I have someone who's there wishing me the best thru my "struggles" :D

Well I'm now a two behind because I'm starting again tomorrow, (I caught something, this is the cold from hell) I popped a few nyquil so I guess that means I am technically not cleansing today, heh and I am not happy about it. (Grrr my body has betrayed me) But I am starting again tomorrow, I was a day ahead now I'm a day behind or is it 2? With a little frowny face. :( but I am still drinking the lemonade. So does that count or not.. hrm... I should post that on the forum.

And I've been vegetarian before, I have no issues with giving up meat, my woe will be cheese. I also like tofu, and soy beans. I have a bunch of cook books and stuff, also I'm spoiled we have a vegan restaurant in town heh :D

Oh no! The cold from hell, I actually had a few of them which is why I had so many bad start... I sure hope you feel better! At least, you kept your spirits up & are following thru so that's great! If it were me, I would have been like, ok, I'll just give it another month or so & never get to it again basically...

Day 2 was successful here, although I was still hungry & still queazy but not as weak as yesterday. I did manage to get 20mns of pilates in. It doesn't sound like much but I like to take it slow & not focus all my energy on it, less I stress myself for nothing. Anyways, it did do me some good & I actually kept a lot of muscle from before because my body wasn't even tired when I was done and if I do this for a whole month, I will be all toned up like usual so YES!

I'm so jealous you have a vegan restaurant in town, that's just nuts... We can find a decent amount of vegan food in my town but that's about it... I'll have to see, once I'm done with this, I really want to like I said, train myself to eat healthyly & normaly. I know the principle of it, applying it proves so much harder... Veganism sounds so healthy though... ah...

You must be on day 2 coz I think you started 1 day before me. I started 2/8 & I think you did 2/7 so if you took a day off (sorta) then we should now be in sync. That's also great, then we can really follow up on each other and finish together which would be such an awesome accomplishment.

Alright, must get to bed so really hope you do feel better and good luck for tomorrow! It's a NEW DAY! :)

Day 4 is over & I think I'm starting to get into the routine. The last time I did a cleanse was only for 30 days & everything was in synch, the SWF, the lemonade, I had no health issues at all. This time, I have cramps but it looks like they are definitely going away. Although, I do wonder about the senna tea... I've been using smooth move & I once read on this forum that in other countries, they discourage the over use of senna because it can lead to other health issues? I do wonder so maybe I will have to do more research as I also think this might be what's giving me the cramps.

I weight myself this am & was down 4lbs so it's very encouraging. I'm also not letting anyone at work know because they get on my case non-stop otherwise since they're all about going out to eat & stuff & won't just let me sit there & watch them. My friends & family don't care & think it's great I can hold on to such a regimen.

I was calculating how many weeks 40 days was & it comes up to 7wks. I wondered which one of the 2 was more discourging, to say "40" days or "7"wks? Somehow, I feel they are just as discouraging, lol!

Well,

I'm very proud of myself. Today is day 8 & soon I will be up to 10. It's so rewarding to see the lbs melt off & just to see some sort of success.

I so wanted chocolate cake over the weekend & I don't normally eat chocolate cake. I ended up googling all vegan recipes all weekend long but i was good & did not touch or bake anything. There are so many things I crave to eat so I better be good & watch myself when I'm done otherwise, the same thing as last time will happen again... I will put back on all the weight in 2wks... That was so sad...

I still have another 32 days or less than 5wks before I'm done so there's still a lot of work ahead. I try to keep to 1hr of cardio per day although I didn't do anything on Sunday but clean my house all day long, I do hope I'll stick to this routine.

Ok, really not doing too bad. I'm immersed in my routine now, or at least it feels like it & am so pround of myself. Apart from thinking about food all day long, literally, I am down 9lbs since I started 9 days ago which mean that if I adhere to my routine, it almost looks like I'd continued to lose 1lb per day. That is really exciting. Last time I did this, I wasn't exercising everyday including the weekend as well. This time, I'm being extremely good & excercising every day so we'll see what happens. I'm losing an extra .25lbs/day more than last time.

Very pround of myself, indeed! :P

Hi everyone,

I'm back! Yes, it's been what, 5 days or so. Everything is fine in Ally Land!

I had my period so I was going thru major cramps which usually doesn't happen. Last time I did a cleanse, I was fine even w/the period. This time, my body is really. really acting differently.... hmmm...

But I'm good, still going on & I'm starving, lol! I want food but I'm not gonna enjoy it, it makes me so sad to love it but not enjoy it, blegh...

I've been trying to find ways to keep motivated, among those: the forum, some concrete results, the idea of seeing my gf after 7yrs, a vacation at the beach in May, ah YES, still not sure where to but definitely going and possibly shopping for some cute clothes!

I'm waiting until nxt week to weight myself. I have to say though, I have been laxed on excercising... A combination of laziness & just not enough time during the week... Yeah, yeah, what poor excuses, I will see about approaching my treadmill & negotiating a time between us, lol!

Ok, I'm weighing in on 3/1 next so I'm all nervous! :?

Laney, great for you! It really does get better after 3 days and you'll see at the end of the cleanse, you'll feel & be completely zen, that's the best feeling ever!

Ellen, thanks for the encouragement. 14 days is also awesome, any day is great in my opinion.

Thanks so much girls! Let's keep rolling!

Day 22, it is almost over & I am exhausted...

Got up 2hrs early today from stressing over the SWF... I ran out of the really good salt I normally use last week & the manufacturer stopped making it a while back but I still had some left... They have now substituted w/a really big gray salt instead which will work on me every now & then... So, in the last few days, I have tried 6-7 different kind of salts to see if they would work... AND I'm really irritated to report that my body has absorbed the SWF from all of them.... including today...

So... because I'm so freaked out by all this salt in my body, I've been trying to drink as much water as possible in order to flush all that out & avoid going into shock or doing any major problem to my body... I am not a happy camper though & have decided to stop at day 30 instead of 40.

Anyways, it's been a good run & for some reason, I just didn't feel it this time. It's like I was plagued by all these changes, my body reacting differently, the salt not working, my inability to get on the treadmill, a lot of fatique, etc...

I won't complain though, I still managed to get rid of 20lbs & by the end of the 8 days I have left, I should be near to 25lbs which for me would be very satisfying.

Alright ladies, I sure hope you're all doing well & sending everyone lots of encouragements!
