Raw Food Eating Plan Began Today, July 9th.

Day One of a raw foods eating plan is here. It is now 4PM and I have the worst headache in the world! My head has been pounding for three hours or so now, and it doesn't seem like it's going to go away any time soon. I'm hoping that it's my body's attempt to get rid of some toxins, and that I'll feel better in the morning............

I have tried the master cleanse in the past, and I just can't seem to get as far as I want with it, so I've decided to just go with the raw foods diet. I've read that consuming raw foods will help heal the body and flush out toxins just as well, so that's what I'm hoping for. I've seen enough youtube videos to know that it can help with weight loss also. I'm hoping that I can stick with it because I desperately need to do this. My weight has been steadily climbing in the past three years, and I am terrified that I will hit 200 pounds in the near future if I don't get my emotional eating under control right now. I'm relying on God to get me through this. My children deserve a healthy mom again, and I deserve a fresh start. I've been miserable long enough.

GOOD FOR YOU for changing your eating lifestyle! Congratulations.

I will tell you that my sister chose not to do the Master Cleanse; but she did decide to do the raw / vegan lifestyle. I would say she is about 65% raw and 35% vegan. She began her raw / vegan diet at the very end of March or beginning of April, and has lost nearly 40 lbs. She feels so much better and literally talks about raw eating ALL DAY LONG! I think people who know her are afraid to bump into her in the street because that is all she talks about. She is so thankful for finding out about this raw food diet because she has struggled with her weight ALL of her life, and this is the first thing that she can stick to permanently and see great resutls. A handful of her co-workers are in "almost-going-raw / vegan" mode - just as a result of seeing her daily prepared meals and witnessing her incredible weight loss right before their eyes.

You'll do great on this. Sorry about the headache. I had one of those too today. I have been on the MC this year more than I have eaten raw; so I'm in the process of getting used to it as well. I made raw gumbo last night and woke up with a SPLITTING headache. I put some Braggs Liquid Aminos in it - not remembering that it was recently discovered that it turns into MSG. So maybe that is the reason for my headache. I plan on switching to Coconut Aminos, which is pure.

Anyway, if you have already searched YouTube, you know about the tons of raw recipes shown by raw foodists. It ain't carrots and celery sticks anymore! A raw food diet can be simply delicious!

Thank you so much for your reply! The story about your sister's experience with eating raw/vegan was so encouraging. I haven't yet worked up to completely raw, but that is my goal ultimately. I am feeling much better now. I think my body is beginning to get used to eating better, and I am excited to see what I will look and feel like after the first month.

I wanted to tell you that I've been following your journey and you have been a great inspiration to me. Your before and after pictures are just wonderful! Congratulations to you for making such a tremendous change in your eating habits. You are such a great example of what healthy cleansing and eating can do for all of us. Keep it up, please, and keep posting. I really enjoy following your progress, and any advice you can give is most welcome.
